Rick left for Mongolia for a 7 week food security project in Tosensengel Mongolia, on June 29th. He will conduct a PDC course whilst there with the aim of empowering local people to be able to implement permaculture techniques to extend the growing season in a climate that ranges from -30 degrees C in winter to +30 degrees C in summer.

The recent exhibition at the Gardening Australia Expo saw Southern Cross Permaculture Institute with the only garden display present. The artwork and some of the plants were supplied by Leongatha Primary School Grades Prep to 2.
