Testimonials
Hi Rick and Naomi,
You may not remember me Anna Hastings; I did a PDC course with you in March of 2005 along with Akia, Andrew, Enzo, Sam, Susie etc.
Anyway, it’s been 5 years since then, husband, kids and an ngo that works towards the prevention of child trafficking later……. yet every day I’m grateful for the skills and knowledge I got from you guys. I’m not much of a green thumb really, and am forever looking up things in books or on the net, but in the development of our organisation I have always kept Permaculture as a centre piece to our work. Today our shelter houses over 20 girls and young women, all of them we have taught how to think/ create/share organic farming and Permaculture, we grow almost 65 different types of fruit and veggies, and are able to harvest almost 95% of our own food!
So what I wanted to say is, thank you for teaching me and giving me an amazing gift to teach and share with others. The knowledge to cultivate your own food source for our girls is in many cases the essence of a positive future. Within the community around us, so many small plot farmers are looking to regenerate the traditional ways of farming and crops, which is great, and we all love to share knowledge and experiment new ways. Some have even heard of permaculture !, which amazes me as I’m sure the only reading they do is the weekly lottery numbersJ!
I hope you and your family are all well and that you know how much of a gift you are giving those who you teach.
Thank you
Best wishes
Anna
